Veteran Yoruba actor Tito Harrison has opened up about a harrowing health crisis that nearly claimed his life. In a candid interview on the “Talk to B Podcast” with Biola Adebayo, Harrison revealed he slipped into a coma for three days after being diagnosed with a liver problem.
He recounted that the ordeal began with a sudden loss of appetite and intense nausea. Unaware of the severity, he initially sought medical help, only to be diagnosed with a serious liver condition.
As his health worsened, he was admitted to the hospital, where he eventually fell into a coma that lasted three days.
During this challenging period, Harrison revealed that he had to sell nearly all his belongings—including land, vehicles, and an unfinished house—to cover the mounting medical expenses. Even his wife’s car had to be sold in a desperate effort to fund his treatment.
The health crisis not only drained his finances but also strained his personal relationships. He shared that some individuals around his wife began to suggest he was a burden or a source of misfortune in her life.
Despite the emotional and financial hardships, Harrison expressed deep gratitude for surviving the ordeal, comparing his experience to the biblical story of Job, who endured great trials as a test of faith.
His words: “I was supporting a lot of upcoming actors until God decided to test me—just like He tested Job in the Bible. It started when I began to feel nauseous and couldn’t eat anything. I completely lost my appetite. When I went to the hospital, the doctor said I had a liver problem. It got worse to the point where I fell into a coma for three days.”
