Veteran Nollywood actress, Fali Werepe, has opened up about why she distanced herself from men during her younger years. In a candid interview, she shared how her mother’s warnings shaped her views and interactions with the opposite sex.
Speaking in a video interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Wasilacoded TV on Friday, July 11, 2025, the seasoned actress revealed that she often turned down love advances from men. According to her, her mother strongly believed that getting involved in multiple relationships would hinder her success in life a belief that deeply influenced her decisions.
According to Modupe Johnson, she said, “A lot of men wanted to be in a relationship with me, but the only thing on my mind was that I didn’t want any relationship to ruin my path to success. I used to run away from men, my mom said I won’t be successful if I sleep with different men. I was only able to get married and have children because it was destined to happen.”
