Veteran Nollywood actress Tola Oladokun has showered her colleague, Funke Akindele, with high praise.
In the latest episode of Oyinmomo TV, Tola opened up to viewers about her career journey, personal life, and how she met Funke Akindele—describing her as an invaluable support to her professional growth.
She revealed that it was Lala who first introduced her to the filmmaker, and that meeting marked a turning point in her life. According to Mama, she met Funke Akindele during the Odun Ifa era, a time when Funke was still finding her footing in Nollywood.
Although she couldn’t take up a role in Funke’s movie Agbefo due to a scheduling conflict with another production, Funke didn’t give up. She reached out to Tola again—this time through Lala—and offered her another opportunity. Since then, the two have continued to collaborate, with Tola consistently working alongside the award-winning actress.
