37-year-old superstar singer Rihanna is expecting another child with her husband, rapper A$AP Rocky, as she is currently pregnant again.
The mother of two proudly displayed her baby bump while leaving her hotel in New York en route to the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5. Rihanna, best known for her hit “Diamonds,” shares two sons—RZA, 2, and Riot, 1—with A$AP Rocky, who is serving as one of the co-hosts of this year’s Met Gala. The couple began dating in 2020.
The couple revealed they were expecting their first child in January 2022 with a heartwarming photoshoot in New York City. Rihanna proudly displayed her baby bump in a pink jacket, while A$AP Rocky complemented her look in blue.
At the time, they chose to keep the baby’s gender private. Their son, RZA Athelston Mayers, was later born in May 2022—just four months after the announcement.
Less than a year later, Rihanna revealed she was expecting her second child during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime performance.
Dressed in an all-red outfit, the Grammy winner proudly displayed her baby bump while delivering a medley of her hits at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
She welcomed her second son in August of that year. Riot Rose Mayers, born in August 2023.

Rihanna has openly expressed her love for motherhood since growing her family. In a February interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she shared that “every decision” she makes now is centered around her children.
“So I have a weird resentment with the things that I love. You almost feel like something is always suffering for you to show up somewhere,” she explained. “And even when you show up there, it’s not 100 percent because there’s something else on the wheel. It’s actually given me a lot more self-guilt. I don’t like letting people down, but I also know that most of that is me letting myself down, which means something has to change, but everything is on the wheel at all times.”
“I have to keep reminding myself that I asked for this, I love this,” she added of motherhood. “I try to figure out a balance so that I can feel fulfilled when I show up to something, so I can feel I don’t have any guilt.”
The “Umbrella” singer also spoke about her sons’ different personalities.
“RZA is just an empath,” she said of her eldest. “He’s so magical. He loves music. He loves melody. He loves books. He loves water. Bath time, swimming, pool, beach, anything.”
Riot, meanwhile, is “hilarious,” Rihanna said.
“When he wakes up, he starts to squeal, scream. Not in a crying way. He just wants to sing,” she added about her second child. “And I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go!’ He’s my alarm in the morning! He’s not taking no for an answer from anyone. I don’t know where he came from, dude.”
Rihanna also told Harper’s Bazaar that the “greatest thing” about Rocky “is seeing him be a dad.”
“I’m annoyed because my sons sometimes just live for him more than they live for me,” she joked. “And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out?’ And they love him, but when I see it, oh, it’s the best.”
