Popular Nollywood actress Omowunmi Ajiboye has opened up about the true nature of her relationship with her former partner, actor Segun Ogungbe.
She clarified details surrounding their alleged marriage, revealing that although they were together and she had a child for him, they were never officially married.
In an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Omowunmi Ajiboye stated that she was never married or engaged to Segun Ogungbe. She explained that Segun never met her family, except for a friend of her sibling who resides in Lagos.
The actress urged her fans to be gentle with her, emphasizing that she is not a bad person and did not ruin Segun’s life. She pointed out that things were good when they were together, and even now that they’ve gone their separate ways, things remain good for him.
“Let me set the record straight, Segun Ogungbe and I were never married, not even engaged. He never met my family, except a friend of my sibling who lives in Lagos. Segun himself can confirm this.
To my fans, I beg you, please take it easy with me. I’m not a bad person, and I didn’t destroy Segun Ogungbe’s life. When I was in his life, things were good. And now that I’m not, his life is still going well. So please, let me live and enjoy my life. I pray your own homes won’t be destroyed. I pray your kids are raised in love and not by strangers. Famous9ja reported in 2023, that Omowunmi and Segun had parted ways over an alleged report that Segun couldn’t fund Wunmi’s lifestyle, hence why she resulted in having extramarital affairs and returned to the streets. Their separation became obvious when Omowunmi buried her mother in grand style, and Segun, had no say in the burial and was mostly babysitting their sons
Omowunmi later confirmed the news as she spilled some dirty secrets about her estranged husband, claiming he molested the girls working with her, aborted their pregnancies, and had extramarital affairs in her house, amongst others. She accused him of not respecting her while in the relationship and setting her up for trolls without defending her.
