Popular Nollywood actor Ali Kayode Agboola has opened up about spending six years away from home due to financial hardship.
In a recent interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Feel Right News TV on Friday, July 18, 2025, the actor revealed that during his absence, his wife sold all his properties and got married to another man before he returned from his trip.
According to Agboola, he said, “I traveled away from home for 6 years, and I left my wife and my child at home. I had an issue with a movie marketer who used to give me money to produce movies. The movie marketer gave me a movie that was worth two million naira to sell, but unfortunately all the customers that were meant to pay me defrauded me and ran away. That was why I decided to run away from Nigeria. I was moving from one African country to another, but after six years, I later decided to come back to Nigeria to plead with the movie marketer. My wife and my kid had left the house before I came back because they couldn’t afford to pay the house rent when I wasn’t around. My wife sold all my properties and got married to another man before I returned from my travel. I tried to get her back, but it’s too late because she already has two children with her new husband.”
