Kunle Afod, a popular Yoruba actor, has shared the story of how he met his wife, Desola Afod, and what happened on their very first day together.
In an interview featured on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV, Kunle revealed that Desola’s brother had joined his theatre group to learn filmmaking. Their paths crossed when her brother brought Desola to one of his movie locations, marking the beginning of their relationship.
In his statement, he said, “My wife knows what she likes about me, but the most important thing is for couples to see themselves as friends. Most men have too much ego because when a man allows a woman to do what makes her happy, it is more likely that the family will benefit from it. Akeem, who happens to be the elder brother of Desola, came to register with my theatre group, and when he told his sister Desola that he met me, she couldn’t believe it, and she decided to come with him the next day. Desola’s brother brought her to my movie set, she fell in love with me immediately she saw me. She was very happy, and she gave me a hug that day, and that was how everything started between us.”
