Renowned Nigerian Islamic musician Ere Asalatu, whose real name is Alhaji Abdulkabir Bukola Alayande, has opened up about a deeply painful and traumatic experience.

Reflecting on the painful memory, Ere Asalatu said, “A lot of things have happened to me in the past, but my prayer for everyone is that we shouldn’t experience the death of our children. A fallen house fell on my first child, and she died tragically on my ceremony day. There was nothing wrong with her, she only went to spend a holiday with my mother’s younger sister in Lagos, and that was where the incident happened.”
The heartbreaking incident occurred while his daughter was away visiting family, far from the celebration being held in his honor. According to the singer, the loss was sudden and unimaginable, leaving a deep and lasting scar.
