Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo is filled with joy as veteran actress Dupe Jaiyesimi returns to Nigeria after spending a few days in Canada.
Biola shared a throwback video of Dupe Jaiyesimi during her departure and excitedly announced her safe return home on social media.
She went on to appeal to producers, directors, and production managers to kindly consider the veteran actress for roles, emphasizing that it would help her support herself as well.
She wrote: Welcome home my mummy @dupe_jayesimi
My mama is back to naija o
Producers, directors, production managers please call mummy for jobs o🙏🙏🙏
Dupe Jayesimi opened up about her heartbreaking experience of not having children at age 60. Jayesimi talked candidly about her infertility and failing marriage in an interview with Biola Bayo on her podcast, Talk to B. She disclosed that she had previously been married and expecting a child, but the relationship ended when the baby was lost.
Jayesimi’s husband started to distance himself from her after the miscarriage, and eventually brought another woman into their home, who was pregnant with his child. The actress attempted IVF twice, but it was unsuccessful. She also considered adoption, but was discouraged by her mother.
