Renowned Nollywood actor Lekan Olatunji has revealed the chilling details of the near-fatal accident he survived in 2022.
In a recent interview, the Yoruba actor recounted how the serious accident left him hospitalized for three months and suffering from memory loss. Reflecting on the experience, he expressed deep gratitude to God for sparing his life.
Lekan also used the opportunity to advocate for greater recognition of medical professionals, revealing that even a doctor friend of his was stunned by his survival. According to him, the doctor admitted he wouldn’t have believed it had he not seen Lekan’s skull injury with his own eyes.
The actor further shared that he underwent multiple surgeries during his recovery, describing the process as extremely difficult and painful.
“There’s was a time I had an accident and it’s wasn’t easy, because I was in the hospital for three months with a memory loss, so I thank God for his grace. Here I am doing well, we should give the doctors their own praise and God his glory, even my doctors friend were shocked and said they wouldn’t believe me if they hadn’t seen me because they saw my skull because I went through series of surgeries but I thank God because it wasn’t easy
Recalled that in 2022, Lekan Olatunji was involved in a horrific accident that nearly claimed his life. The actor had shared a video from his hospital bed, with visible bandages on his head and arms. A source later confirmed that he had miraculously survived the ghastly crash.
Tragically, just a year after the accident, the Yoruba actor suffered another heartbreaking loss the death of his beloved wife, the mother of his three children. Reflecting on the painful moment, Lekan expressed his belief in the unquestionable will of God. He revealed that despite spending millions of Naira on her medical treatment and surgery, she sadly did not survive.
