Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about the lofty standards she’s set for her future partner, joking that her specific requirements could be the reason she’s “still single.”
Speaking in a recent interview on Apple Music 1, the 45-year-old hitmaker discussed her 2023 smash ‘Somebody’s Son’ and shared the qualities she’s looking for in a man.
The mother of one admitted she’s actively searching for love but won’t compromise on her standards, which include luxury, stability, and a drama-free life. According to Savage, her ideal man must own both a private jet and a yacht, and she has no interest in men caught up in unresolved family issues.
She said; “I’m still looking for someone’s son. I don’t have any [partner]. And I think it is because I’m asking for specific things. Maybe I need to narrow my search down.
She added; “I’m actually looking for someone who has a private plane, yacht; someone who doesn’t have baby mama drama because I can’t deal with that. Maybe that’s my problem.”
Recently, the singer disclosed that she now prioritises financial security over love in her romantic relationships.
In May, she also revealed that she is avoiding relationships with Nigerian men, claiming they have a “lack of romance.”
Savage tied the knot with Tunji “TeeBillz” Balogun in 2013, welcomed their son Jamal in 2015, and finalised their divorce in 2018.
