Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has revealed on her Instagram page that she and her husband have been separated since April last year. The couple has since agreed to peacefully co-parent their son in a respectful and mature way.
In the heartfelt post, Biola also took a moment to wish her estranged husband a happy birthday.
Addressing those who may feel disappointed by the news, she offered a sincere apology, expressing her own heartbreak and a deep desire for the marriage to have worked. However, she emphasized that sometimes, choosing survival and peace is more important—“it’s better to stay alive to tell the story,” she said.
She urged fans to keep her and her family in their prayers, sharing the painful irony of being known for bringing joy to others while silently battling her own sorrow. For the past 14 months, she revealed, her nights have often ended in tears. Still, she draws strength from her unwavering faith in Christ, whom she says lives with her eternally.
