Nigerian musician Davido is clearly a proud father as he reunites with his first daughter, Imade.
The singer has finally reconnected with his child after a long-standing custody dispute with Sophia Momodu, Imade’s mother, which began in 2022.
Davido took to his Instagram page to share a heartwarming photo of himself and Imade posing for the camera, along with another snapshot of them on FaceTime with his second daughter, Hailey.
The singer described it as the best day of his life.
“Best day of my life”.
Sophia is currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle with her famous ex, Davido. In June of last year, the singer filed a lawsuit seeking joint custody of their daughter, Imade, alleging that Sophia was preventing him from seeing her and was attempting to extort money—claims she strongly denied.
Just a week later, Sophia opposed his request for joint custody, citing several concerns, including the tragic death of Davido’s son, as reasons she believed he was unfit to care for their daughter alone.
Tensions between the two escalated after Davido publicly professed his love for his now-wife, Chioma Rowland, and rekindled their relationship. The move reportedly upset Sophia, who later shared a cryptic post referencing a cat refusing to tolerate disrespect from a dog. She subsequently went on a lengthy social media rant, accusing Davido of financially abusing her.
