During an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Nollywood actress Azeezat Shorunmu opened up about the challenges women face in the industry, including how some actors demand romantic relationships in exchange for movie roles.
In the video posted on Oyinmomo TV’s official YouTube channel on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Azeezat confidently stated that no actor can claim to have been in a relationship with her. She explained that her talent and filmmaking skills have been the driving force behind her success, not any romantic involvement within the industry.
In her statement, she said, “I started making money immediately I got into the movie industry, and my film making skills also helped me a lot; that’s why I have never slept with any actor in the movie industry. The person I’m currently dating isn’t an actor, but he knows some actors in the movie industry, and he knows that I’m a good woman, that’s why he wants to marry me. I didn’t meet my boyfriend in the movie industry, but people got to know about our relationship when he started moving with a popular actor. Up till this moment, no actor can ever boast of having sex with me in the movie industry. I have everything to succeed as an actress, so it’s difficult for any actor to entice me with anything, and I’m satisfied with what I have.”
