A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after giving a blunt review of Hilda Baci’s recently concluded largest pot of jollof rice attempt.
In a trending video, the middle-aged man, while tasting the meal, expressed disappointment with the dish prepared by Hilda and her team. Though he appreciated her effort, he harshly described the food as “absolute nonsense” and advised her never to try such again.
He further stated that Nigerian youths should channel their energy towards demanding better governance instead of celebrating feats like the jollof rice challenge.
Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Record attempt was held on Friday, September 12th, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites.
The event attracted over 20,000 youths and featured the presence of top celebrities such as Kaffy, Funke Akindele, Shina Peller, Enioluwa, Opeyemi Famakin, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Veekee James, and Tomike Alayande.
