Nollywood actress Lola Alao has spoken out in support of her colleague, Iyabo Ojo.
In a video shared online, Lola described Iyabo as a generous and kind-hearted person. She praised Iyabo as someone who selflessly prioritizes the needs of others, often placing their problems above her own..
She expressed sadness over how the movie star is being relentlessly attacked and falsely accused on social media.
“Iyabo is a kind-hearted person and a cheerful giver. She leaves her problems and fights for yours. Now they’re dragging and lying against her.”
Famous9ja recently reported that a group of men took to the streets of Lagos, chanting curses like “E no go better for Iyabo Ojo” in the wake of the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Responding via Instagram, actress Iyabo Ojo clarified that she never pointed fingers at anyone specifically as being responsible for Mohbad’s death. She lamented how, over the years, some individuals have continually wished her dead, threatened her livelihood, and even endangered her children—all without any action from law enforcement. She further revealed that just days before her daughter’s wedding in Tanzania, a threatening letter was delivered to her office, endangering her life.
Despite the negativity, Iyabo Ojo has continued to receive support from colleagues. Yoruba actress Lola Alao previously praised Iyabo for her kindness, recalling how Iyabo’s visit to her in Canada and promotion of her clothing line led to a global surge in orders. Lola described Iyabo as a “blessed child” and deeply appreciated her gesture.
Similarly, actress Adedola Aderonke, popularly known as Ashabi Olorisha, also commended Iyabo, highlighting her kind heart and praying fervently for blessings upon her and her descendants.
