Actress Wumi Toriola Reacts as Kolawole Ajeyemi Celebrates Her Warmly Amid Ongoing Rift With Wife Toyin Abraham

Nollywood actor Kolawole Ajeyemi seems to be maintaining neutrality amid the ongoing rift between his wife, Toyin Abraham, and her former best friend, Wumi Toriola.

Despite the tension, Kolawole took to his Instagram page on Friday, July 11th, to celebrate Wumi on her birthday. Sharing a photo of the actress, he expressed his well-wishes, hoping her birthday desires come true and encouraging her to enjoy her special day.

“Happy birthday, dear @wumitoriola! I hope all your birthday wishes come true! It’s your special day. Enjoy your day.”

Surprisingly, Wumi took to his comment section to appreciate him for the birthday message.

She wrote, Thank you, Daddy Ire”.

In 2023, Wumi Toriola and Toyin Abraham reportedly fell out over Funke Akindele’s film Battle on Buka Street. According to sources, Wumi was upset after Toyin failed to cast her in her movie Ijakumo. Although Toyin reached out to clear the air, the conversation allegedly turned heated, with Wumi insulting her, prompting Toyin to unfollow her on Instagram. Following the fallout, Wumi aligned herself with Toyin’s industry rival, Funke Akindele, by featuring in her film.

In a subtle clapback, Toyin rekindled her relationship with Seyi Edun, Wumi’s former best friend. Seyi had extended an olive branch by promoting Toyin’s movie Bhad and Boujee and showing up at the cinema to support her — a gesture Toyin openly appreciated.

To jog your memory, Wumi and Seyi were once close friends after Seyi got involved with Toyin’s ex-husband, Adeniyi Johnson. However, their friendship eventually soured. Also in 2023, Wumi addressed rumors of an alleged affair with Kolawole Ajeyemi, Toyin’s husband, firmly denying the claims and criticizing those who spread such damaging rumors to stir unnecessary drama.
