Popular Yoruba actress and filmmaker Yetunde Bakare has taken to her Instagram story to reflect on her journey as she marks her birthday.
The UK-based actress revealed that she is one of the few who haven’t been lucky to receive help from others. She shared that all her achievements so far are a result of God’s grace, her family, personal sacrifices, prayers, silent tears, and a handful of true friends who offer her encouragement and a listening ear.
“I’m one of the few that hasn’t been lucky with getting help from people.
Everything I have done has been God, family, hardwork and sacrifices with lots of prayers/silent tears and a very few friends, supporting me with words of encouragement and listening ears” Yetunde Bakare revealed.
She explained that she rarely asks for help because she’s grown accustomed to not receiving any, adding that she’s used to carrying heavy burdens while smiling through the pain.
