Famous Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popuularly known as 2Baba, has opened up about why he decided to end his marriage with Annie Idibia and choose Natasha Osawaru as his new partner.
In a recent interview, the “African Queen” hitmaker reflected on the reasons behind his shocking decision. It will be recalled that back in January 2025, 2Baba stunned fans and the public when he took to his Instagram page to announce his separation from Annie Idibia.
2Baba and Annie Idibia were married for 12 years and share two children together. Before tying the knot with Annie, the music icon had children with two other women, bringing the total number of his children to seven.
While appearing as a guest on a podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia and his co-hosts, 2Baba stated that men are not naturally built to be with only one woman seexually and that was only the beginning of his revelations.
Addressing the end of his marriage to Annie Idibia, 2Baba acknowledged that they shared a meaningful journey together and described her as an incredible woman. He admitted that despite his efforts to make the marriage work, things continued to fall apart. He further explained that his desire to be present for everyone often landed him in trouble.
Speaking about his new partner, Hon. Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, 2Baba described her as a remarkable woman who now holds a special place in his life.

Nedu: When it comes to relationships, women, you are my guy and I love you so much…but are you okay?
2Baba: “Yea, I have been with beautiful people, wonderful amazing people, but times and circumstances change… sometimes somethings outgrow somethings like I said earlier, for me there is no hate nor animosity. It’s just that some kindof things are not working together again.
I am okay, I am good. The only people that are really of concern to me are my kids and for me they are the only people I owe an explanation. They are the only ones that I owe anything to as a matter of fact because I am the one that brought them to this world.
But for the rest, we need to be mature to understand ourselves. As a man in Africa, you know Africa looks at us that we are not supposed to feel anyhow, we are supposed to be iron all the time, I was going through emotions no matter how it is. I will just dust myself and move on.
Mother of my children, they are amazing people. Annie is amazing, who I am with now is also amazing. Everybody has their own strong character, strengths and their beauty. For me that is how I see life. It is people that created all those unnecessary dramas. Those people they are the ones creating this heartache.
Annie and I had a good run, she is amazing, she was the show in young rich African and famous. She is an amazing person but it wasn’t working. We were married for 12 years.
She is okay. I want to be there for everybody and it has put me in trouble. I have a good number of quality people around me that are there for me.”
