In an interview with Oyinmomo TV, popular actress Wunmi Ajiboye dismissed the rumor that MC Oluomo organized her mother’s funeral, calling it false.
She revealed in a video posted on Oyinmomo TV’s YouTube channel that she actually begged MC Oluomo for additional money to buy drinks for the burial party, clarifying he did not host or plan the event.
In her statement, she said, “When I wanted to do my mom’s burial ceremony, I set up a committee that could assist me to plan the party. When we got to Oshogbo, where the ceremony will take place, my godfather was already in the hotel with his team, and I was later informed in the evening that MC Oluomo had also arrived and stayed in the same hotel with my godfather because they are colleagues. The committee told me that we should go and greet my godfather and MC Oluomo in the hotel, and we all moved together to greet them. After I exhausted all the money on me, I didn’t have money left to buy more alcohol for the event because I had a doubt that the ones I bought may not be enough. Actress Fathia Balogun, who was also a member of the committee, was the one who asked me if she could borrow me more money to buy the alcohol, but I told her that I don’t like borrowing money to organize a party.
When we returned to the hotel, a committee member asked MC Oluomo to give me some money, but he said I hadn’t told him I needed any. I had to beg him for more money to buy drinks for my mother’s burial. He then told his personal assistant to give me some money which I won’t disclose and I sent someone to buy more alcohol for the ceremony.
