Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has finally broken his silence to explain the reason behind the cancellation of his Morayo Live Tour.
Earlier this month, Wizkid made headlines and became a trending topic after unexpectedly calling off his much-anticipated tour.
He began by cancelling all the North American dates of the tour, which included stops in the USA and Canada. Shortly after, he extended the cancellations to shows scheduled in Berlin and Paris.
The development didn’t go down well with many of Wizkid’s fans, especially those who had already purchased tickets. They criticized the singer for remaining silent about the sudden cancellation of all his Morayo Live Tour shows.
Breaking his silence, Wizkid took to his official page on the popular microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), where he urged fans to be patient with him. He went on to express how deeply he misses his late mother, ending the post with a heartbreaking emoji.
He wrote; “Big Wiz easy wit me 🦅.”
He added; “Miss my Queen everyday !! 💔🦅.”
