Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor Elegbeje Ado has opened up about a remarkable spiritual experience that began during his school days, marking the beginning of his spiritual journey.
In a recent interview on Kunle Afod’s YouTube channel, Ado revealed that his gift of seeing into the future first emerged while he was still a student. He recalled that the visions started unexpectedly—whenever he fell asleep in class, he would begin to see vivid revelations.
What seemed like simple naps soon turned into profound spiritual encounters. According to Ado, these visions were not random; they carried clear, purposeful messages about the lives and futures of his classmates. He shared that one of his earliest visions involved a fellow student named Taiwo Abati, signaling the start of what would become a lifelong spiritual calling.
The actor revealed that one of his first visions involved a classmate, Taiwo Abati. He foresaw that her water bottle would break, triggering a harsh reaction from her father, who would punish her by withholding her feeding allowance. When Ado shared the vision with her, it soon came to pass exactly as he had described.
That moment, he said, marked the beginning of a recurring pattern. Word of his gift began to spread, and soon more classmates started approaching him, eager to know if he had seen anything about them. Ado recalled how he would relay the visions just as God revealed them to him, often providing deep and personal insights into their futures.
This continued for six months, with Ado growing more aware of his gift. Initially, he saw these experiences as a mere coincidence, believing it to be a random talent that he had developed. However, his perspective changed when he heard a deeper calling.
He said: “Whenever I sleep in class, God usually show me visions of what will happen to my classmates. It started with a girl named Taiwo Abati. God showed me that her water bottle would break, her father would beat her, and not give her feeding allowance. I told Taiwo, and she thought it was a joke until it
happened. So during lunch breaks, my classmates would come to me asking if I saw any visions about them, and whenever God showed me something about them, I told them. This went on for about six months. I thought it was just a random talent until God spoke to me about it and told me to intercede for people in prayers.”
