“God Is Indeed Great” – Iyabo Ojo Movie, Labake Olododo Gross Speed Up At Movie Box Office With N172.5 million In Two Weeks

Iyabo Ojo’s latest blockbuster, Labake Olododo, has taken the Nigerian box office by storm, raking in an impressive N172.5 million within just two weeks of its release.

The film, which premiered in cinemas nationwide on March 28, pulled in a remarkable N50.4 million during its opening weekend alone—earning it the title of the second-biggest Nollywood opening of 2025.

According to data from FilmOne Group, a major film distributor in West Africa, the movie’s strong performance underscores its widespread appeal among Nigerian moviegoers.

Labake Olododo also adds to the growing wave of successful female-led films dominating Nollywood, as audiences continue to embrace stories fronted or directed by women, both critically and commercially.

Last year, Eniola Ajao’s Ajakaju: Beasts of Two Worlds cemented its place as one of Nollywood’s top earners, pulling in over N200 million at the box office. In a similar stride, Wumi Toriola’s Queen Lateefah shattered expectations with an astounding N350 million in revenue.

Now, with Iyabo Ojo leading the charge and a compelling narrative steeped in tradition and power, Labake Olododo is on track to make a lasting impact on the 2025 box office landscape.
